So I today I woke up randomly at 6 am. Because my right eye started hurting really badly when I closed it. It still hurts and it feels exactly like as if there is an eyelash in my eye. Whenever I try to see what it is, I don’t see anything inside of my eye, not even anything wrong. I tried putting water in my eye and then blinking a ton, but it still hurts, and nothing has come out. It only hurts when I close my eye, and especially when I close it and I move my eye. Does anyone know whats wrong, or what should I do?

29 AprThe Bates “Method” — What Works?
I honor Dr. Bates for the work that he did. But I try to separate two specific issues that Bates was concerned with.
1. The tendency of the eye to go DOWN when you place a minus lens on it. This was probably the spur that drove Dr. Bates to conduct his successful 1913 study. I call this the recognization of a problem. I think we all agree on this issue.
2. Once you recognize the problem, then you can propose a “method” of prevention. It is at this point that there are many problems.
29 AprHas anyone ever had a bad reaction to caffeinated eye cream?
I tried the Garnier Caffeinated Roll-On. I work out in the mornings and I drink an energy drink which contains caffeine. After I exercised I took a shower and used the Garnier Caffeinated Roll-On. Soon I started feeling bad, like I had too much caffeine in my system. Has anyone ever had this happen to them?
28 AprHow to smile with your eyes — don’t!
Back in January, Brendan said that his Bates teacher advised smiling. I have heard this elsewhere as well. I have also heard that in an “honest” or “natural” smile, you smile with your eyes. I agree with Brendan that smiling is good for the eyes. However I disagree most wholeheartedly with the common opinion that the best smile is done “with the eyes.”
For the past few weeks I have been experimenting with “straining” and”not straining” and one thing I now know for sure, if you’re looking straight ahead, raising either your upper or lower eyelid, or raising your eyebrows, is “straining.” I will go into detail about this later. In fact I think that’s about all you need to know about straining as
far as keeping good vision is concerned.
27 AprBates Method defined
My attempt at a definition. As always, comments are welcome. Does this definition match what you think of as “The Bates Method”? Let me know if you think I have misrepresented or missed anything.
BATES METHOD defined.
The Bates Method is a means of attaining better eyesight without glasses by resting the mind, the eyes, and surrounding muscles; by practicing seeing things at all distances as the normal eye sees them;
and by accustoming the eyes to bright light.
Glasses discarded.
Ideally, the method is to be used before glasses are ever worn; or if they are being worn, they are to be discarded immediately.
27 AprWhy do so many senior men have one eye opened & one eye closed?
Is this due to an eye injury or vision problems?
I see many older men in real life & on the internet with that “wink”.
Does it imply they are playful?
Flirting?
Impaired?
Well endowed?
I don’t understand why a true gentleman would care to wink at everyone all of the time. Can anyone add some insight regarding this “trend”?

27 AprDo i have a brain tumor?
im experiencing changes in my vision. When i drive its hard for me to pick up fast moving speeds. I sometimes get headaches and im always tired/lazy. I get some neck pains every once in a while. Also i get those floaters in my eyes. i kno that i have anxiety because i am takin lexapro. Also my memory is off. Also it is hard for me to breathe. Is this all anxiety related or do i have a brain tumor. Also 3 months ago i had an MRI that was negative. Could much have changed since then? Also i keep on thinking that i am going blind because my vision is off and my left eye is semi red and when i look at something i always think my left eye isnt picking up anything. Is that all just cause my anxiety is making me think of the worst? Just tell me if i have a brain tumor or am i on the verge of death
