I am 79, petite, and in otherwise good health. I take NO other meds, take a moderate 45min to 1 hr. walk 6/week, don’t smoke or drink, reduced fatty foods 30 yrs ago and I’ve removed all “visible” salt from my diet. My entire life my BP has been very low but a couple of years ago it started going up. Over the past 2 yrs. I’ve tried a dozen meds and for the most part they cause BP to drop so low I cannot function and Dr changes med. I have been on a new one 3 weeks and BP is averaging 148/86 (using an average of taking it 4 times a day). It is usually lower in the morning and much higher at night. Last night I took it because of a pounding headache and very noticable “floaters” in one eye. It was 166/95. Way too high for me.
